I know there are a few in town, any leads on a TR MKIV GLI?

Hey guys,

I've been looking through the US and on the vortex for a 2004.5-2005 Tornado Red GLI.

I know there is at least one in town, ambitious man doing a 4motion swap, but are there any others in town or country?

Any leads would be great!

There is one other TR GLI in town but I've no idea who owns it... I bought mine from an Audi dealership just outside of Atlanta Georgia and had it trucked up.

I don't think I've ever seen one in Tornado Red for sale in Alberta... At least not that I can remember, but I can't say I look all that often. They're few and far between either way though.

I'd be worried about rust in that one since it's a Quebec car. As for the transmission, that car is in need of a new one apparently.

Been awhile since I've focused on MKIV's, curious as to whether the TR Jettas had paint issues like the TR R32's did?

I'd say find the cheapest Gli that's mechanically sound then just respray it

Yes, the GLI and the R32 both had clear coat issues. For some reason I've never heard of any of the other models having this problem though...
