haha i went to change mine this afternoon and said F it and installed my new awe boost gauge instead
why is crap blocking all the coilpacks lol

plus i need to get a big extension for my torque wrench or buy a 3/8s drive tq wrench as mine is 1/2" for doing wheels

well first off the 2.7t was designed by nazis and the devil for the retarded placement of everything covering up everything hahaha

that being said i changed the plug on the front driver side and the old plug spark area was the size of a pube hair lol so i put one of my new plugs in and started her up and blamo no bad sounds so good to go now to do the other 5 and remove half the engine to get them

i changed the rest of the driver side bank took like 10 minutes after you remove the coolant tank screws..

i'll do the passenger side tommorow because you have to remove the airbox.. but drove it around tonight and works great so far hahahaha

I kind of think it's funny that you installed a boost gauge instead of swapping spark plugs.

I want to put my VEI/Podi into my car but stop before I begin because the project looks daunting and time consuming. Plus I'd be doing it alone and if I eff it up I'm hooped.

this is actually my 4th boost gauge in this car

3rd.. awe ver1
4th.. awe ver2

Don't be such a poofter Ryan, just unclip the top of your airbox and move the reservoir over and the rest is easy (relatively) just don't drop any bolts from your coilpack down into the engine or finding and retrieving it can be a real pain in the ace, truuust me!

haha yea i'll finish tomorow.. the old plugs all looked great other than the wear on the tip dealy.. no fouling or crap signs.. my engine bay needs a helluva cleaning tho.. i'm breaking out the simple green soon

Did you get your buzzing stopped? My new AWE gauge setup is kinda Frankenstiened... cut off piece here.. new piping here... fuel liter added here.... no buzzing now.. and just a tiny bit of vibration at WOT.

Tactic: a boost gauge install will seriously take you an hour with a 1.8T if you all have the neccessary parts... pretty easy.

I am starting to think my boost gauge is pooched and that is why i am reading crazy boost. Hopefully thats the problem cause we can't find anything else and i am not throwing an overboost code.

Gauges are cheap... I have an extra VDO laying around if you want to test... or just buy a new one! The new AWE look awesome.. esp for $85
