I don't usually go on vwvortex, but when I do... Do you guys have any tips regarding buying goods on vwvortex? The seller has been on vortex since 06, we agreed on paying by paypal, and I'm shipping to the us boarder.

Do not send paypal money as a "gift" no matter what they say. If anything goes south, youll never get your money back if you do it that way.

I am looking into getting some EBC redstuff brake pads, does anyone have experience with them? In terms of dust, performance, and noise? I had a good experience with hawk hps in my old jetta's stock brakes but they are squealing annoyingly in my wilwoods randomly all the time, they were installed properly, lubed and proper wilwood antisqueal shims. When i had stock wilwood bp10 pads they didn't squeal, I'm also looking into wilwood polymatrix q and yellowstuff pads if anyone has input about them. I do track my car once a year or so and autocross it whenever i can.

I'm interested but when are you bring the car over? And how long will you be staying? Right now my car is sleeping in Calgary and I was planning to go get it after gcvw in late August, but it could change if I get to take shoots with a Ferrari haha!

looks like the tubular subframe is a no go for me, I asked on the VW Racer's group and one member said the alignment was thrown way off by the idf tubular frame, and his car was about my height so I wouldn't be able to run it, I guess thats a good news for me cuz I would be able to save some money, I'm just gonna wait for a good deal on a brand new subframe, and I'll be installing some solid subframe bushings and steering rack mount at the same time.

I’d like a tubular front subframe eventually too but will likely go with these guys... http://www.fmfabrication.ca

Lighter and stronger than OEM but comes at a cost of course - would definitely be worth comparing the end price of an upgraded OEM subframe to a tubular option.

I would honestly just go with a new or used and powdercoated OEM frame and tyrol press in bushings (http://www.tyrolsport.com/suspension...rame-bushings/). It would give you the feel that you want (you like the tight feel eh?) with a far better price tag. You also need to trim your firewall in to account for the raised steering rack.
You would get the tubular if you want scene points or if you really really really needed it for a perhaps a dedicated race car with the tubular control arms and heim joints instead of bushings. You aren't low enough to need it for clearance issues.

My current one is quite out of whack if I don't have the camber plates but the current camber plates are noisy so I'm leaning towards running stock mounts again, but that would require a new subframe, so I'm deciding between this and a new stock frame
