I didn't realize until seeing these photos. Ill just have to remove the black housing that sits behind the door.

That is something which is very cool. Hadn't thought about the vibration.

Forsure Sean! I'll let you know. I don't think air will be a issue in there as it looks to be a pretty large cavity.

If your side opening is large like that it is definitely a good idea to put it in the side. Easy access, clean looking etc.
The only caution i would have is mounting the motor up and the heads down, there may be a bit of heat sink into the motor rather than cooling through the head, but it may be minor in nature. Either way a 12V computer fan directed onto the compressor would get rid of any worries in that space. It may heat up quick, but at least the air movement will help cool it down. And your only problem times would be in the summer when you are running your compressors a lot, say at a show airing up and down several times or just playing around. However i don't think that is your style so you should be fine.

I also have a TON of scrap aluminum pieces (square, angles, from 1/2" to 1") in my basement if you want to take it to bolt a frame together for yourself. I also have isolation mounts (sent you pics on facebook a while ago) if you plan to isolate it from the frame of the vehicle for sound deadening.

Viar says you can mount their compressors any way you like except for upside down as they would tend to overheat quicker. I might have to look at installing a fan of some sort, but the compressors probably wouldn't be running that long to get super hot.

That would be wicked bob. My compressors are smaller than the ones pictured too.

Management scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Will begin working on my trunk. Thinking about ways to keep the Spare tire, or do something cool in the tire well.

I thought this would be super cool to do, but dont know the difficulty of getting them in there or if i have the skills.

Turns out it was just a busted check valve on the leader line.... probably should have just checked this in the first place :P

All i need to complete the kit now are the front and rear bags as well as a tank.
