Fast foreward to last weekend after coffee. Alicia let me know that there was a show going on over in quarry park so bob and i headed over to check it out. The show was for a 17 year old boy who was killed by a drunk driver. "Show your ride for brandon" was a show in memory of him, raising money for a scholarship fund up at SAIT. I guess bob was chatting with brandon's father and he said that brandon owned an imprezza but had a huge love for audi's.
Taken from the Facebook event page:
The show for the most part was filled with imports/jdm crowd, but there was also a good presence of classic cars, muscle cars, trucks and a even few euro's. There was a dyno (2wd i think), food trucks and amp radio was there too. A really well put together event. Bob and i showed up pretty late to the show, but still registered because it looked pretty fun and the money went to a good cause. Considering the 'lack' of organization experience and that some volunteers weren't even car enthusiasts(i think it was brandon's family and a few of his friends), this had to be one of the best shows I have been to in Calgary. I think about 800 cars showed up over the 150 or so last year. Everyone just seemed to have a good attitude and supported a good cause. Everybody for the most part was really respectful and easy to chat with. I really look forward to attending this show next year and i hope we can get some more eurodrivers out.Brandon was just 17 and was taken from us too early, due to a drunk driver. Brandon loved everything to do with driving and motor vehicles. He loved everything from driving to mudding, and everything in between. He was an amazing young man with plenty of potential and a bright future. We’re hosting this event as a show and shine, as well as a memorial for Brandon’s life. He had a thirst and passion for the car community, his family, and friends, and a love of mechanics. He wouldn’t miss this for the world, so please come out and show your support!!!
Bob and i ended up snagging a couple Best in show awards.

I checked my vin on that site and said no recalls available. Maybe they have been completed, or its not available for canadian cars. Im going to give audi a call and see if they can check for me.

I think changing the mirrors up would work well, matte black would be my choice!

Re: Non bacon car
I contacted the new owner of the side skirts and asked to buy them back, but he loves them. I may look at getting another set off audizine, or buying a set directly from relak as they are doing another production run of the carbon fibre versions.Originally posted by bobkatkat View PostDamn that looks good Danny! Just noodling but what about gold wrap on the mirrors and matte black on the window trim? Any chance of getting those side skirts back so we can mold em in CF?
Wrapping the mirrors and trim may be tough, but i might give it a shot.
