I may be out of tune (no pun intended) with my 2 liter turbo engines but those numbers for a K03 turbocharger seem a bit high. They seem more like crank hp numbers to be honest, as APR lists 241hp (not whp) and unitronic lists theirs at 245hp (not whp).
I have no doubt however that it is a solid tune that will throw you back in your seat twice as hard as without the tune

While i agree it seems high,and this is just what is listed on their site. But based on my reading, Apr and unitronic tunes for these cars are almost 10 years old now and have not been updated. This tune feels like it has much more power than the apr trial tune i had on the car a few months back. Company's like UM and JHM have been testing these car's again and really been able to push numbers.

I know this is not my tune, but it is an example of how much power they can put out. Here is a difference between Revo stage 2, and JHM stage 1(um is similar numbers to JHM) that someone posted on audizine. Im not the best at reading dyno's or anything like that so dfinitely correct me if I'm wrong. For hardware it looks like he had intake/test pipe and intecooler.

This is why i would like to get my car on a dyno once i have the test pipe in because i am really curious.

Hey Dan. Does it peak at 21 and then drop off to something else?? If that's a K03 (pretty sure it is). Expect to kill it sooner rather than later

yeah its stock k03. I'm assuming this is peak boost as i have heard 21 is definitely pushing the limits of a k03. maybe it drops off to 18 or lower?. i would like to pick up a boost gauge soon to see.

As for blowing it soon.... i sure hope not. From what I've read, guys have been running this tune reliably. boost numbers are similar to JHM stage 1 as well.

Nice little update here ,

I stopped by Natty's shop yesterday for a UM tune. and wow what a change. (sorry if i get all giddy because this is my first tune on a car) The car has a lot more power, boost comes in earlier and doesn't lose gas towards redline. As for daily driving i find that i no longer need to mash the throttle to get up to speed and idle is much smoother too.

Horsepower has increased significantly, but the torque gain is insane...
Um site claims 240WHP and 275 WTQ, boost at around 20-21Psi over Stock which is roughly 200Crank Hp and 210CrankTq.

I am extremely happy so far that i picked UM over Apr as it seems to pull twice as hard. Stage 1 UM with no hardware supposedly puts just as much power as Apr's stage 2 with intake/testpipe. I am interested to know what i am actually putting down, so i may look at getting the car put on a dyno after i get a test pipe in next week. Stage 1+ will be next which i will need S3 injectors, then a HPFP for stage 2+.

Honestly, it seems like this one could have gone for a long time. It only had minor surface scuffing on it. Ive seen followers with deep scratches or even holes in them. Its nice to have he peace of mind that a fresh one is in there though.

Replaced my cam follower for the first time tonight. I was a little nervous of the carnage as its most likely never been replaced. (Car is at 105,000km)

There has been a lot of mixed reviews on whether or not the changes made for the 2008 a4's made any difference to the life on the cam followers. (Audi claims the new system would never need to be checked) but the result was good. There was not much wear at all on the old cam follower! So I won't need to worry about it for a while.

I left mine on too when I did them. What i did though was got a plastic bottle and sprayed the paint in there, then got a brush and brushed it on in order to avoid over spray. If you need help or company while doing it I can help!

We left the calipers on my car when we painted them, we just masked them off really well and sanded/cleaned them. I think it only took a couple hours to do. Endura is definitely the way to go.

I have used Endura for multiple projects and it is amazing. We painted Kim's calipers with Endura 6 years ago and the paint is still glossy and looks brand new. You can buy it at Smith and McClay Coatings or at High Performance Coatings.

kim's brakes look really good! i think ill go with that stuff then.

Use high heat caliper paint but I prefer Endura because of the infinite range of colors and it is just as heat and chemical resistant.
