Threw it out there because he wanted a sensible winter car so that he can save up for a house. 2014 S4 is expensive compared to an A3 that does the basic necessities.

I wouldnt put the new A3 on the same level as an S4. Maybe once we get (if we get) the S3 and RS3 here, then you could company, but I dont think the A3 really holds a candle to the S4 at this point. BTW, not bashing the A3 as its a beautiful car, just apples to oranges comparison.

Revo is the most aggressive tune available. Stasis was offering a toned down version through the Audi partner network. APR has nothing to do with Revo, in fact they are mortal enemies due to the nature of the birth of Revo (not going into it, look it up)

Revo is now offering a V2 which is much safer, the initial offering requested an extreme amount of boost and dialed back some of the safeties in order to achieve this (not my opinion, actual fact) logs of the new V2 show it to be much more inline with GIAC and APR, it appears that all safeties are in stock form

Other then that waiting until break-in is done to mod the car at all.

As for TD1 automatic flagging on scanning, Audi said let them know when it goes in for work and they will "forget" to try and update firmware, thus not tripping the flag.

Good choice, I would err on the side and have it flashed to stock before each service, you never know when your SA may decide they aren't going to help you fight the fight, and with a DSG I would be safer than sorry

Admittedly I dont know much about the Revo tune.. isn't it just the Stasis one? If so it is basically the APR tune that has been dialed down...

(Guess you could try ECUProgram, but since GIAC and APR offer Stage 2 with pulley upgrades, Id assume that would make more sense)

Did they say anything about the TD1 when asked?

Im not sure flashing back to stock is a viable option every time you bring the car in.. plus I thought they could also read how many times the ECU had been accessed.

It has been proven multiple times over, having the flash reverted to stock by the software dealer (Tunerworks, Concept 1) will keep you safe and undetected, using the software switcher provided be it GIAC flashloader or the APR turn stalk will not keep you safe

Good point for sure, if it was the S3 then maybe. I mean smaller car with 300hp is pretty decent (which we are getting the S3) the RS3 i doubt, but would be amazing to get.

Audi was very eager to work with me, i didn't end up losing much at all, because bmw was willing to pay well for it.

What I lost, they included in stuff like audi care, upgrades and more. I feel satisfied, and if I did not I'd have sold the car privately.
