Well the first attempt at the LED install was a no go due to not being able to scan the car so I am wondering if anyone has the latest Micro Can or Hex Can versions of Vag Com that I would be able to borrow?

Hi everyone
I'm new to this forum, so I feel bad that my first post is asking for vag-com assistance. I have an 2003 Passat 1.8L that recently threw a CEL. Last thursday it was flashing, so I didn't drive it. The next day I went to start it to see what was going on, and it was just a solid CEL. The car wouldn't start over the weekend, which I guess is from -30 weather (no block heater, used to have indoor parking, just moved this summer to a place with covered only). I went and tried to start it today and although it started, it had a very rough idle with a lot of smoke coming out the back (still solid CEL). Looking on forums I am guessing it is either the ignition control module or oxygen sensors, but would like a vag-com scan to help with diagnostics.
I live in the mission area, 17th ave and 4th st, and if someone lives close and is willing to drive down and scan for me, there is the standard case of beer available, or a bottle of alcohol if you would prefer.

anyone downtown calgary got vag com? cars sputtering on the highway and at 50km/h engine light on. acceleration is weak. gonna take er in tomorrow maybe. any tips/ideas would be much appreesh! thanks!
