Use duct tape to prevent wheel from chipping....

Then why would you swap to your summer wheels yet if you are just going to cover them in tape?
Also duct tape i wouldn't recommend for anything on your car, at all. It will either wreck the finish or the residue will be left on there with hot/cold cycles.

You are crazy putting your new wheels on already, you must like rock chips. I don't put my summer wheels on until at least may.

You can get some mud flaps to prevent them..
