    Re: Garage Build

k this is an odd question but

i'm going to do a popcorn texture on the garage ceiling.. same as 90% of all houses have.. little bumps all over..

anyways so i bought a little bit of this 'poly stipple' stuff from totem today (small bucket) and the guy gave me texture rollers so i dumped some into a tray and applied it around my garage door mounts as i need to reattach it so i can actually use my garage door again

anyways the stuff basically looks like really white thinned out mud??

    second thing
applying it of course it doesn't cover like paint does due to the textured roller

    soooooo

i'm going to have to paint over the small areas i've done

then i'm thinking to paint the entire ceiling white then apply this stuff with the roller to get the texture going

then i was thinking.. why couldn't i just thin out my own mud that i have left over and use that... will that work and look the same???? i'm thinking so.....

dropped my damn drill from about 8' on to the concrete... cracked the handle. Brand new drill, and i really liked it too :(

**Called Power Tool Klinic, and they ordered a new body for the drill for 30$. I feel better now

Yah, that is what I am going to end up doing. I talked to the guys at Totem and they told me that was really my only option.

I looked at the Roxul stuff, but I figure since my house extends above the garage it does not make it worth the extra cost. If the garage catches fire, the rest of the house will too.
