concrete, landscaping and asphalt (if you need asphalt) are big ones that are not in the kit. Landscaping can add up fast, depending on what kind of earth you have to remove/replace to get a solid base. Siding, electric. insulation and drywall are all 'kits' on top of the standard totem kit too. I also went with 2x6 framing (instead of standard 2x4), and extra insulation for heat, which again, is an extra. I actually think i'm doing pretty good.. lol.

The link works, but you have to have a gmail account and sign in.

But good work of keeping the cost down.

Even had to include the price of earplugs lol

    Re: Garage Build

So I was thinking some might want to know what a garage costs to build on your own. I've tried to keep on a tight budget, but not cut any corners. I have kept track of everything..... There is no electrical on here yet, but the rest is pretty much there. Drywall and insulation are on the list, as well as siding, even though I haven't installed it yet. Give this link a try. Never used this, so let me know if it doesn't work.

i shingled the roof today. Long day. Wanted to do it before the bad weether came, so I wasn't able to line up a helper. Got it done though. Took a solid 11 hours.

Asphalt guys came and did their thing today too. Looks good.
