Well putting the head on was kinda pointless. Looks like this may get some rods after all.... Convincing the parents to buy car parts for Christmas was not easy after all of these shenanigans. Should make the order tomorrow...as long as I don't change my mind again before then

Well I've decided I can't financially afford to build a motor so it's going back to stock and likely selling the car. But I slapped the head back on tonight

Machine shops think 20v heads are the devil, so after ripping his hair out, he probably just jacked up the price.

In other news, I got my head back. After being quoted 500 with parts it came out to nearly double at 885$...I'm not a happy camper.
