Yeah I don't mess around. It's still been four weeks total (three of which were waiting for parts.)
So far my only issues are the intercooler piping hanging too low for my 4x4 status car. And the other side piping not letting the headlight sit how i want it.

Gotta say I'm quite proud of myself though. This time a year ago all I had ever done was install some coils, changing a timing belt was way over my head, never mind all this.

Exactly Sean. And thank you. Not such a "little" project though

Got my tial wastegate. So I got everything mounted.

Also I was being dumb and trying to move the engine crane my self and unfortunate damaged my paint. So mad at myself for this :(

Agreed that as long as your tune bring on the boost slow enough you should be fine on stock rods. Hell you can probably run a gt3582 with stock rods and an aggressive tune just because the boost comes on so slowly.

    Nice little project Dylan

Probably not. It's not HP that kills rods, its torque. A turbo that size will spool slow enough that he shouldn't have any issues if he keeps the boost down. A t3t4 turbo can make around 350hp with less than 300 lb ft or torque. Frankenturbos and k04's at high boost will do more damage to the rods than a big turbo like this.

50 trim at like 18psi should be fine. Should still be under 300wtq and a gentle enough power delivery that it'll be fine. Rods will probably be done over next winter though.

There is a 1.8t for sale on Das Dubbers right now just so you know.

Yeah the clutch is getting done for sure and some sort of turbo replacement (will likely not be a ko3s). For the clutch I think I'm going to go with an fx400 8puck sprung clutch and a steel flywheel to retain some of the daily drivability that it seems the aluminum ones take away.

Or source yourself another 1.8T and start building that slowly on the side and have it ready for a quick swap in the winter. That's what I wanna do, but with a VRT instead
Only issue is you're gonna have a damn hard time finding a 1.8T with such low KMs like yours I think. I don't know how common 1.8Ts are but it seems like finding one with that low of KM would be impossible.
