I'm gonna agree with that. Just put a clutch in and get the engine back in the car. Build it up over the winter.

that'd do it. IMO if I were you I would slap a new clutch in and get her moving again and do the upgrade next winter. Summers just starting and piecing together a turbo set up and getting it tuned will take a while

Master doesn't leak externally. Slave commonly fails.

Yeah probably go with something very aggressive (fx400). Did you change the slave yourself since it's inside the transmission?

Alright day two: finished up pullin all the lines and got the engine out. Quite the hassle. Turbo defs has some play in it...compressor wheel touches the walls.

No, I lived in a condo at the time and no space to do any work. 1800 dollars later, But I had a new clutch put in. I also paid more for the sinlgle mass flywheel conversion. Vw put dual mass flywheels to make for a smoother shift I believe. Correct me anyone if I am wrong.

This happened to me, Slave cylinder crapped out, good time to get a new clutch since its inside.
I was told this was common.
