Got her in for an oil change and wheel alignment then spent half the day doing a thorough detail from inside and out:




No more rubbing from what I can see and as of today, I love Autoglym! :love:

The tire size with the offset of those wheels is the biggest issue for rubbing, 225 or 215s would allow a lot more clearance. You could also try to get a little more rear camber with an alignment to also help out with the rears.

A LITTLE CAMBER GOES A LONG WAY . a lot of camber goes farther ....... I am going through some wheel fitment issues as well. I have solved them but it was fun and unorthodox .
All i will say is 19x10.5 is the frikin max without modifying fenders

Here's to hoping that an alignment this Friday will resolve the minor rubbing issues I have. Otherwise, anyone want to buy tires for cheap?

Take my thought with a grain of salt because I was the one who put the decals on...

I think they look way better. They add an extra splash of color that make the wheels standout. I think the blue would look good, however I really like how the red pops as well.

I am surprised anyone would vote against the stud conversion..for anyone who changes their own wheels they are a must have in my mind. (Plus you have more choices in lug nuts for adding a bit more color)

Studs are not a must when you have a tommy bar from the Touareg.

No worries! I haven't rolled my fenders yet, all I've done is pull the screw out of the very top of the fender liner and that took care of all of my issues. If you do notice something at some point, just do that and you should be fine.

I actually did the fender screw mod already I think that's how it's saving my butt right now haha.

You might be able to borrow a fender roller from someone on here, just post a "want to borrow" thread. Someone might be willing to help you with them, but it's hard to say since you can easily wreck the paint if you don't do it properly. You should only have to do your fronts though, as the backs are pretty much already rolled.

Hmmm yeah you may need to pull your fender a smidge if you have some rubbing on corners, just remember to use a lot of heat so you don't screw up the paint too badly and take your time.

What about a black sticker or white? I don't really think the red matches anything except the taillights, and again is a slightly different shade. I would do a few photoshops with the decals matching different components of your car and see which you like best.

I was undecided but after the Photoshop, I'm pretty happy with the decals staying on. It just looks too plain... That's my take on it, at least.

As for the stud conversion, I wanna do it because it does get annoying to use bolts to switch wheels everytime. Especially if I plan to do AutoX and switch 19's to 17's and vice-versa.
