That is pretty disappointing, always was a fan of Panerai's had hoped one would be my next major acquisition.

This Uniform Wares 250 series is a pretty nice and classic dress watch, Swiss ETA movement, sapphire crystal and not much more than $500.

    Panerai scandal:

    http://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comm...ated_unsigned/

    http://www.network54.com/Forum/35339...pond+to+emails

They're putting knockoff level movements in their $5-9000 watches now.

This is an unstamped undecorated standard factory movement that would be in a replica or $200 watch.

Unheard of from any reputable watchmaker.

    :(

I used to be against buying replicas but when it comes to Panerai I say go crazy, your replica may have better internals than the real thing!!! This is like buying a brand new Ferrari and under the hood it has the engine from a Golf.

Got myself a seiko from the states.. It was on a ridiculous sale I couldn't pass up. Has timezones, an alarm and tachymeter.. It's a good start for a daily.. That U-Boat classico above is sexy as hell!

I just checked through most of their site, hah hah. I'm trying to scope out a new ceramic watch, with a minimalistic face, for a reasonable dollar.

So for you guys who buy watches online, what're your favourite sites to check out?

There was one I've forgotten, time something was in the name (I think).

I hope that radioactive dial gives me cool superpowers. The exoskeletal look keep getting more and more exaggerated with these new designs.

    A change of pace?

A new exclusive Hublot that none of us will be able to afford, but fairly cool looking as seems watches are getting a bit more abstract at the moment.

Why thank you! I should have specified that I haven't found a local retailer recently.

This was the one I was mentioning earlier.
