  • Re: twopointslow

Swapping in a new/used beam is a pretty simple task, only a few hours worth of work and maybe $50 from a used car lot. Just a thought if you wanted to keep the car

PS please tell the new buyer about the bent beam issue with the car if you decide to sell

If you get one of the above beams, I'd be one of a few volunteers that would help swap it out.

Little bit of an update since I havent made one in awhile. Nothing too much. My rear hatch springs were shot, but replaced them for $20 thanks to RobG. So I have a working hatch now. Also picked up some Wolfsburg interior for $220 thanks to Bydesign. A little bit of a clean and they'll be perfect. Ordered some new speakers since mine are blown and gonna get this deck that i got from tristan awhile ago in soon as well. Still need an amp and a sub.

As for the interior, is it easy to diy, or should I go and get them put in somewhere else? I have all the switches, and the connectors. Not all the wire though.

Easy to do it yourself. For both the seats and the deck and the amp/sub install.

I have an amp/sub that i may want to put up for sale, it isn't big and boomy, it is a 10" Rockford P3 shallow in a nice sealed downward facing box with a plexiglass backing. 300Watt rms sub. Powered by a directed audio 250Wrms amplifier, think its a model 250D or something along those lines. They work well together and provide a crisp bass sound, they are ~6 years old now and haven't been used in the past 5 years but i'd be willing to hook it up for you and prove that they work.
